AIRMAKS CAIMAN X REGULATED LAMINATE GREEN PCP 5.5MM

The regulated AirMaks Caiman X Laminate Green PCP 5.5mm is light, compact, powerful, as well as insanely accurate! This model from Czech manufacturer AirMaks Arms features a 520mm CZ barrel with 1/17,7 twist rate. Therefore, it is a bit more powerful than the standard Caiman. The beautiful, well finished green laminated stock also gives it a unique look!

Shooting and aiming is really comfortable, thanks to its ergonomically shaped pistol grip. You can also adjust the rubber buttpad in height for increased comfort. The CZ barrel is 520 mm long and the compact Bullpup design allows this rifle to have an overall length of only 695 mm.

With a twist rate of 1/17,7 you can be sure this choked barrel delivers accuracy! The muzzle is outfitted with an integrated, modular sound moderator, which makes shooting a silent affair.

The cocking lever is placed on the left side, but you can easily swap it to the right side. It's two-stage trigger is adjustable, while the magazine has a capacity of 10 pellets in .22 caliber. It's manual safety is located near the end of the buttstock. To disengage it, simply push it from the right side of the rifle.

The air cylinder has a capacity of 285 cc with a maximum filling pressure of 300 bar. The pressure gauge is placed on the left side of the foregrip. AirMaks' Caiman X comes with a bunch of goodies, which we've listed on the bottom of this page. This model is equipped with a 20MOA 22 mm Picatinny / Weaver rail to fit optics, instead of conventional iron sights. The UIT rail (or T-rail) on the foregrip will allow you to attach a bipod or torch.

Shooting Performance

As all hardened airgunners will tell you, shooting specs are not always a straight-forward affair.

This rifle usually comes with the regulator set at 100 BAR. So we'll base the information on 300

BAR to 100 BAR shot strings, which is a single fill from full to reg pressure.

The Caiman X will produce velocities at stock standard settings, of 910fps at most to an average of 875fps. These velocities are with JSB 18.13 grain lead pellets. Of course, it features externally adjustable hammer spring adjustment, so you can increase / decrease the velocity as preferred.

From the factory, you can get 119 shots per fill, at about 32ft.lbs average over those shots for closer range work. Otherwise, you can get 60 consistent powerful shots for distances from 50m to 100m, at about 35ft.lbs.
