AIRMAKS KRAIT COMPACT REGULATED PCP 5.5MM

The AirMaks KRAiT Compact PCP 5.5mm is ultra compact, extremely light, powerful and insanely accurate. This model is the brand new member of the family of PCP airguns from Czech manufacturer AirMaks Arms. Just like its predecessors, this variant had also borrowed its name from the animal kingdom - this time it's named after a highly venomous snake belonging to the cobra family.

AirMaks Krait Compact comes with a shorter barrel and compact air bottle. The overall length of the rifle reaches 605 mm and it weighs just about 2,5 kg. The shrouded barrel with the 1/17,7 twist rate has a length of 400 mm and its muzzle is outfitted with 1/2×20 UNF thread for an external sound moderator.

This precisely machined metal stock features a height adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber buttpad that can be adjusted for both length and height. Its excellent ergonomic properties are further extended by the anatomically shaped AR-15 grip. The grip was designed for right-handed shooters and has a rubberized anti-slip surface for safe handling in any situation.

However, lefties still shoot this comfortably without issue.

Its cocking lever has a very smooth action and you can easily attach it to the other side. The magazine has a capacity of 16 pellets and all models in .22 caliber are also outfitted with an anti-double feed system. The two-stage trigger is fully adjustable and the manual safety is placed directly above it. The safety can also be swapped to the other side.

The 20 MOA Picatinny rail will allow you to mount a scope or other optic. Additionally, another three Picatinny rails for other tactical accessories can be found on the sides and under the air bottle.

Regulation

The air bottle has a capacity of 300 cc and a maximum fill pressure of 300 Bar. The Power Plenum can hold 60 cc and the gun also comes with an adjustable pressure regulator. This pressure regulator and the valve can be adjusted externally, without discharging the air tank.

Furthermore, you get two pressure gauges. The first gauge is located on the left side of the rifle and shows the current pressure in the Power Plenum. Likewise, the other gauge shows the pressure in the air bottle.

Now, you can get more power by increasing the hammer spring tension and /or setting the regulator higher. This will, however, reduce your shots per fill. Likewise, if you tune to lower settings, your shot count will increase. Generally, you'll get about 96 shots per fill from 300 Bar to

100 Bar, with the regulator set at 100 Bar.
