EVANIX REX-IBEX 5.5MM

The Evanix Rex-Ibex 5.5mm is a very powerful, single-shot air rifle which is extremely popular with hunters and pesters worldwide. Because of a lengthy 730mm barrel with 1:19 twist rate, it is accurate! Despite its impressive size, this air rifle is balanced very well and surprisingly low in weight.

Its forend with long weaver/picatinny rails over and underneath gives the Rex-Ibex the appearance of an assault rifle, and offers enough room for accessories such as a bipod or optics, especially with the M-LOK slots on the sides. The ergonomically formed pistol grip and stock with integrated pressurised air reservoir (480 cc) ensure comfortable operation of the rifle Furthermore, the two-stage trigger can be adjusted to your preference.

Cocking the Rex-Ibex is done by engaging the underlever, which at the same time opens the loading gate and engages the safety. While cocking, moving the underlever no further than halfway, the rifle is set for a shot on medium power, and by moving the underlever all the way forward, it's set for a full power shot. Heavy slugs (180 to 400 grain) are recommended for the high energy Evanix Rex-Ibex.

We love the position of the manometer, which is located just behind the optics rail. This way you can keep a close eye on your air levels at a glance.

Because it is so powerful, it does have some recoil and a bark to it. Muzzle energy, velocity and shot count varies depending on ammunition weight.
